Councillor Martin Ott
I moved to Potterhanworth in 2013 with my wife and two children after working in Africa (Malawi and Senegal) for 15 years. I am German and was born in Bavaria but as my wife is from Lincolnshire (near Market Rasen) I have been visiting Lincolnshire since 2001. My career has involved working for aid agencies and governments and as a university lecturer in Malawi. When I moved to the UK in 2012 I worked for 4 years at Eminox (a diesel exhaust business) in Gainsborough before starting my own business providing consultancy work in developing countries and for business leaders, and lecturing part-time at Bishop Grosseteste University. Having lived in Potterhanworth for 7 years, I now consider it my home. I would like to help the village to retain its peaceful and rural character where everyone can enjoy a friendly community and the surrounding countryside. I am also interested in the village history and would like to make this information more widely known.
